KikoKeeper is compatible with all standard Bluetooth EID/RFID stick and handheld scanners supporting HID (Keyboard Emulation) or SPP modes. Tested and recommended models include:
Yes! The Windows desktop setup executable (KikoKeeper-Setup.exe) natively listens for Bluetooth HID keyboard wedge input. When you scan an ear tag in the barn or working chute, KikoKeeper on your PC immediately brings up the animal's record.
No! KikoKeeper is built with an Offline-First Architecture. You can log weights, vaccinations, breeding events, pasture moves, and birth records deep in pastures without any cell service or Wi-Fi. All changes are stored locally on your device.
Once your device reconnects to Wi-Fi or cellular data, KikoKeeper automatically synchronizes all pending edits with your secure cloud database. Any changes made on your phone automatically sync to your PC and vice versa.
Yes! Premium accounts support multi-device cloud synchronization. Multiple ranch hands can log records simultaneously on separate devices.
Yes. Because your herd database is securely backed up to the cloud, simply log into KikoKeeper on your new phone or computer to instantly restore your entire ranch history, pedigree trees, weights, and health logs.
Yes! KikoKeeper features a built-in CSV Herd Importer. You can upload spreadsheet files containing tag numbers, birth dates, registration IDs, sire/dam records, and weights directly into your account.
Yes! You can upload any official registry's blank application form as long as it is in PDF format (including NKR, ADGA, ABGA, AKGA, or custom ranch association forms).
KikoKeeper contains a built-in intelligent PDF AcroForm engine. When you upload or select a PDF form, the app automatically analyzes the document's interactive form fields (such as Tag Number, Tattoo, Animal Name, Birth Date, Sire ID, Dam ID, Breeder Name, and Owner Address) and pre-fills the entire PDF document in seconds using your saved herd database records. You can then print or export the completed PDF directly to the registry!
KikoKeeper comes pre-loaded with official NKR (National Kiko Registry) forms, including Registration Applications, Transfer Forms, Dual Registration Applications, Order/Fee Sheets, and DNA Request Forms. You can also upload any additional PDF form at any time.
KikoKeeper currently displays 3 generations of interactive pedigree history (Parents, Grandparents, and Great-Grandparents). This 3-generation view is specifically designed to be mobile-friendly and easily readable on smartphones without pinch-zooming or awkward side-scrolling. We are actively working on expanding to 4 and 5-generation expandable tree views in an upcoming update!
The Buck to Doe ratio tracker evaluates only active, owned breeding stock in your herd (status == active). It excludes sold, deceased, or culled animals to give you an exact, real-time breeding ratio.
When you log a breeding event (exposure or AI), KikoKeeper automatically calculates the expected kidding date based on the standard 150-day goat gestation cycle and sets automated birth reminders.
